Description
This is an auction for an Original copy of the HARD TO FIND 1958 EP release CHRISTMAS WITH ELVIS released in the USA.
The record itself (EPA-4340 dog on top) is in VERY GOOD- condition.
There are quite a few visible marks/scratches but nothing too deep or drastic.
I have test played this record and both sides play through with NO SKIPS or JUMPS.
There is however surface noise (crackle and hiss) that can be heard more in the quieter parts.
The centre labels have NO WRITING.(see photos)
This is one of the hardest to find of all the Elvis Extended Play releases!!!!!!!!!!!
The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $115 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+)for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is over 54 years old and is in nice condition for the age.
There are NO SPLITS or WRITING(see photos)
The only thing that stops this from grading even higher is some slight damage along the bottom, a small pin hole on the rear and some slight age discolouration(see photos)
THIS IS ONLY THE 2ND ORIGINAL OF THIS RELEASE I HAVE EVER SOLD IN 10 YEARS OF SELLING ON EBAY!!!!
THIS RELEASE RARELY COMES UP FOR AUCTION SO BE SURE TO BID EARLY!!!!
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $190(£121 approx) .I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £130.+
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
