A year before the tragic death of the "King of Rock and Roll", Elvis Presley recorded some songs live in the recording studio set up in his mansion. The album From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee reached some top positions in the worldwide charts and includes his top 10 hit "Hurt". It is one of the final recordings of his career. The melodramatic soul and country influenced songs are full of heartbreak and pain. It's one the saddest records he made, but still with his wonderful and recognizable voice.
In a career spanning a period of 25 years Elvis Presley became one of the world's most influential and commercial successful artists. The legend recorded songs in many different genres, including rock 'n' roll, country, blues and gospel. 41 years after his dead he still as popular as ever.
