Description
This is a beautiful vintage copy of Elvis Presley’s iconic self-titled debut album, originally released in 1956 on RCA Victor (LPM-1254). This copy features the black RCA Victor label with the “Nipper” dog on top, denoting an early pressing. The matrix/runout numbers are G2PP-1282–6S and G2PP-1283–5S, indicating it was pressed at RCA's Indianapolis plant and falls within the early Hollywood/Indianapolis pressing runs—a desirable collectible version for serious Elvis collectors.
Condition:
Vinyl: Mint - with great gloss and no visible scratches. A couple of superficial sleeve scuffs and light spindle marks are present.
Outer Jacket: VG+. The colors are rich and vibrant. All text is clear, including along the spine. Corners are sharp, with just one showing slight wear and ever so slight wear on the opening side. No seam splits. Minor ring wear.
Original Inner Sleeve: VG with a slight fold in one corner and a small split on one edge, which goes about halfway down and was fixed with tape WAY back in the day.
Label variant: "Long 33⅓ Play" text at the bottom, "New Orthophonic High Fidelity" on the right, and full-color Nipper logo on top of label—typical of early 1956 pressings.
Matrix/Runout (etched):
Side 1: G2PP-1282–6S
Side 2: G2PP-1283–5S
This is a fantastic example of a collector-grade early pressing of one of the most historically significant rock & roll albums ever made.

The 3 parts (Vinyl record, original inner sleeve and outer jacket) are then carefully placed inside a heavy duty 3 mil clear plastic sleeve, then placed in a cardboard record mailer, with bubble wrap or cardboard to prevent shifting during shipping and finally protected from moisture by a large poly mailer.
