Description
This is Sun label record #215, 10-inch diameter, 78 rpm. Side-A has “Milkcow Blues Boogie” with the engraving “?1949 U-140-2 72” near the label. Side-B has “You’re A Heartbreaker” with the engraving “U-141 72 ?1954” near the label.
I am not an expert in antique records, but I am as certain as I can be from the research I have done that this record is an original and not a counterfeit. I bought this record and another similar record many years ago from a friend of mine who obtained the records from a grandparent’s collection.
The condition of the record is at least “Very Good” meaning that it is not warped and has a minimum of visual imperfections as would be expected after light usage. I have not played this record on a turntable but have no reason to believe it will not play well. The record sleeve is nondescript and I do not know whether or not it came with the record.
I have set a low reserve based on a Near Mint value of $1500 to $2000 listed in “The Official Price Guide to Elvis Presley Records and Memorabilia, Second Edition,” page 88, copyright 1998 by Jerry Osborne.
