Embrace 12" EP 1st Pressing MINT Dischord  Minor Threat

DESCRIPTION: This is a rare, absolutely mint-condition 1st pressing of the self-titled Embrace 12" EP.  Dischord Records No. 24, 1987. 
HISTORY: Embrace was a band with the following members:  Ian MacKaye (Slinkees, Teen Idles, Minor Threat, Skewbald, Pailhead, Fugazi, The Evens), Michael Hampton (S.O.A, Faith, The Snakes, One Last Wish, Manifesto), Chris Bald (Faith, Ignition, Chris Bald 96), and Ivor Hanson (S.O.A, Faith, Manifesto).  Even though the band always hated the term, and certainly hated when it was applied to them, this record is considered to be one of the first "Emo" records ever (along with the Rites of Spring "Drink Deep" LP).  
CONDITION / PROVENANCE:  This record has never, ever been played.  Both cover and record are in mint condition.  It has been kept in a plastic sleeve away from light and dust for the last 25 years. This record is unconditionally guaranteed to be original, from 1987.  It comes from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described variously as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want."  Please see my auction for lots of other punk/hardcore flyers and records as well as other jetsam I'll be putting up for sale......
