Unbelievably rare 1991 promotional box set featuring the album in three formats: Vinyl, CD and cassette tape.
Item is graded overall as being in very good condition. The box is in fine shape with slight shelf wear (see pictures). The decal which represents the cover and spine is in fine shape under normal light with very slight to slight wear showing up under direct bright light, particularly on the left hand edge. This comes straight from my collection and in my opinion it does not detract from the collectability of this item in any way. The CD and cassette tape are both still sealed in their original shrink-wrap with the original French stickers on both (CD states UK but also references Virgin France). The vinyl album is in very good condition overall. The album cover looks nice and crisp with fingerprints being the most predominant sign of wear. There is a small embossing on the upper right corner, again in French (I believe) which only adds to the uniqueness of this set. Embossing is visible slightly on the upper right corner of the insert as well. The vinyl itself sounds great to my ears, listened to twice prior to creating this listing. There is a slight warp that is visibly detected that is most evident on the first part of side two but I don't hear any effect on the sound. If something negative is there, I'm pretty sensitive to picking it up. Overall this is a very nice rarity to complete an Erasure collection.
A similar box shows up on Discogs as being made for the Spanish market. This one is clearly for France based on the above referenced embossing and stickers. The last sale for the Spain version was $318.32. This is priced competitively with the previous sale in mind. I am listing some of my prized box sets from my collection in the coming weeks. Discogs also references a similar box for the Wild album as being limited to 100 copies. I cannot imagine there are many of these out there.
