Description
This album, entitled "Golden Apples of the Sun," is on the Opus 3 label, #8109. Opus 3 was a small, independent Swedish record company that produced audiophile-quality jazz, folk, and classical albums. This one (and several others that I have listed for auction) is from the early 1980s. It features Eric Bibb on vocals and guitar, singing mostly his own compositions. A play list can be provided on request. The record is in near-mint condition; sound quality is superb. Jacket is also near-mint, with no staining, seam splits, or mildew odor. The photo shown here is of the back of the jacket. The front is in the typical Opus 3 format of the day, i.e., plain, with only the album name, artist names, and Opus 3 logo. The record is from the estate of an audiophile who had approximately 4000 records. I believe he last listened to this album in October 1985, for he so indicated in writing on the back of the jacket.. Domestic postage is $4.00 (media rate). This price includes a nice reusable mailer. Multiple purchases will save on shipping; I have listed several other audiophile albums, so check them out. Two records will ship for the same postage as one, and 3 or 4 records will ship for $4.50. If the record is unsatisfactory, it may be returned for refund of bid price. I will also ship records to Canada, Australia, Japan, and Western Europe (except Italy). Shipment will be via "First Class Mail International Postage," and the cost will be determined after the auction closes. One record will ship to Canada for approximately $8.00. The cost to ship one record to the other mentioned countries will be approximately $15.00. Any other method of shipment is prohibitively expensive; however there is no insurance available. The buyer assumes the risk of loss in shipping.
