Description

A very rare British slice of Soul / Boogie the first release on a small independent label, Survival Records SUR 1 released August 1975 the artist is Ester Byrde (aka Anastasia Rodriguez) who was credited as a West End Singer on the Theatre circuit her credits included - playing Katisha in the "Black Mikado" at the Cambridge Theatre, Ester also appeared in "Jesuses Christ Superstar" performing in London and Germany. She appeared with Ray Charles and his Orchestra plus the Raelettes at the Odeon Birmingham on the 11th October 1978. She also appeared in " Shylock" playing the role of Portia in 1982 at the Library Theatre, Manchester. (Information on Ester`s career - credit to Kenb on Soul Sauce 11th October 2022) 
Condition is Near Mint ( having been played) no scratches on either side, label on both sides clean, plays as clear as the day it was released. The images confirm the condition of this vinyl 45.  A quality slice of the evolution of British Soul music a superb addition for a collector of this genre.

SIDE A " Touch Me - Take Me" referenced as sultry sexy soul a very good stepper. SIDE B " Tracks Of Love" the instrumental of the A side performed by The Solid Goal Orchestra written and produced by Steve Royal, arranged by Chris Walker for Mighty Oak Music Ltd. The history of the track comes from covering Brit Soul  "Love Sounds" by Intimate Strangers on Alaska records from 1975.  Later on Jet Records also a British label in 1978 the "Touch Me - Take Me" track performed by Rita Wright that 45 is also rare and is currently available at a premium price in the UK.
