Description

Even More Electric Banana – DW/LP – 3123. Original 1969 Album, De Wolfe

Original De Wolfe label, Red/White/Blue, Matrix marks – DW LP 3123 A (and B) 331/3 rpm. Mono.

There are some light marks/scuffs but the record plays well on both sides. The cover has like a cellophane covering which has separated in places

due to general wear and tear. The sleeve is plain but some torn / tatty edges. Check the photos for condition.

Very rare record. This was a pseudonym for the band, Pretty Things (1967-1978)

Some background, this information is on the net.

Things weren’t going so well for the Pretty Things which caused them to bide their time before their next release...

Which they did by working out new material under the cover of the Electric Banana alias.

The Pretty Things had begun to engage in recording a series of music library albums under the name of Electric Banana, for De Wolfe Music, a company that syndicated recordings worldwide for commercial use in film, television and radio.

These albums were unavailable through retail music outlets, which is why the Electric Banana releases would remain all but unknown for many years.

The album comprised of tracks with vocals on side one (and the same tracks repeated on side two as just instrumentals). By 1968 they had completed two such albums for De Wolfe - Electric Banana, and More Electric Banana.

It was their third album, Even More Electric Banana, that would turn out to be the strongest of the entire series.
