This LP...Even More Electric Banana, by the Pretty Things...... This is a first pressing three coloured, red white & blue label pressing with laminated sleeve and not the far more common red issue which was pressed later and kept on the Dewolfe catalogue until the mid to late 70s...This is from the first run which would have been a very small pressing. This LP is by the Electric Banana AKA The Pretty Things. Great tracks in the same vein as the S F Sorrow album. Please see the other auction I have on ebay for an original 1st pressing of the "More Electric Banana" LP.

More Useful Notes from the world wide web.

Notes:

In the summer of 1968 the Pretty Things took time off from recording SF Sorrow to appear in the movie What's Good For the Goose, a vehicle for the famous British comic actor Norman Wisdom. The group provided the film's theme song as well as playing in the night club scenes, where they lip-synched to the other tracks that would make up the More Electric Banana album. Unlike previous Electric Banana projects, where the band were working anonymously, this time the material was for commercial consumption – albeit on a movie screen rather than in record shops-- so the tracks are fully realized with more attention to detail in the production and arrangements. The resultant recordings are some of the finest from their psychedelic period, particularly the fierce, high energy attack of "Alexander" and "Eagle's Son", and the stunning "It'll Never Be Me", the latter two of which could have easily slotted into the S F Sorrow narrative. In retrospect these songs were somewhat wasted in a flop movie and did not see commercial release on record until years later, and then only in dubious legality.
