Evergreen State College - E=mc2+/-1db (no label, US 1981) Cover: VG++ (gatefold cover, large lyric insert, cover has some h2o warping at bottom) Records: EX (2 lp) Rare privately pressed lp out of Evergreen State College in Washington State. This is an impressive double album collection of music by students at the college, one track ("Walking on Air") by the founder of the legendary label Sub Pop Bruce Pavitt! While attending Evergreen Pavitt started his radio show Subterranean Pop which later evolved into Sub Pop. There is a great collection of music here ranging from intense prog rock, folk rock, psyck, jazz rock and more. My favorites to look out for are two tracks by musician Michael Land that sound like vintage German or French prog rock you might find on the Ohr or Futura labels. Comes in a beautiful, thick gatefold cover and comes with the cover-sized folding lyric insert (which has some pretty heavy h2o staining and wrinkling, so VG) This is a collection of great, obscure music and is a transformative rarity for the Sub Pop collectors out there that most do not know about!
