Description
YARDBIRDS - 'FIVE LIVE YARDBIRDS' COLUMBIA UK 1964 ORIGINAL VINYL ALBUM CATALOGUE NUMBER 33SX 1677
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:-
Side One. XAX 2725-1N 1 L Side Two. XAX 2726-1N 1 A
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs.
The labels have some spindle lines but no writing, no damage. The label on side one has a 'K' and a 'T' close to the spindle hole.
The cover is coated on the front by a clear laminate which goes over on some flaps to the back which is not covered in laminate. There are about six small creases on the front, but overall it looks really nice. The back has a few small stains and a little bit of light browning where the record goes in - there are also a few dents at this opening edge. There is 32/- written in pencil on the top left corner, it would easily rub off, but because I think it's the original price in 1964 I am leaving it there. The back is a little bit grubby but I have researched some other albums like this and by comparison this one seems very good.
The vinyl has quite a lot of surface scratches and scuffs but they don't cause any problem when the record is played except for a short one on track 3 side 2 which I can feel - this causes about 10 obvious clicks, but it plays through okay and doesn't seem to affect the run of play. Generally side 1 sounds really good without much interference at all and side 2 is a bit more crackly, but still sounds great.
I can't be sure but I think the inner is original.
Please note this is a no return item, so bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a standard envelope style cardboard mailer with two pieces of cardboard inside for further protection.
