"FIVE LIVE YARDBIRDS" LP
1964 1st UK MONO pressing on the
blue & black COLUMBIA label 33SX 1677 XAX 2725-1N & XAX 2726-1N 1st Pressing Matrix Numbers 1/T & 1/A Earliest Stampers 'KT' Tax Code Cover: Garrod & Lofthouse 'patents pending' 1st pressing cover with laminated front and unlaminated rear with triple flip-backs. No writings, doodles or seam splits. Nice clear readable spine. Some edge wear to top & bottom seams. Rates as Near Excellent - see photos. Inner sleeve: Original poly-lined 'foreign patents pending' inner sleeve with external rear side flip-backs in VG+ condition. Labels: Excellent. Vinyl: Play tested. Heavy duty 1st pressing vinyl. Side 1 looks VG+ and Side 2 looks VG(-) with some non-feelable marks/scuffs. The record plays 'VG' overall. Some tracks play VG+ and others Good+. No skips or jumps on my system. There is some crackle (which is to be expected of a 50 year old piece of vinyl) noticeable during the run-in and on the quieter tracks but hardly notceable during the louder rocking tracks. Still very listenable with plenty of play left in it. Would benefit from a clean to bring up to its best - not played for 40+ years before play testing. Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and more significant scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
