FRANK SINATRA

SIDE A:     RENCOR IMPLACABLE

(The Song From “Kings Go Forth” [Monique])

SIDE B:     LO MISMO DE SIEMPRE

(The Same Old Song And Dance)

MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original CAPITOL Records very first Mono press released in Chile by Capitol Records in 1958, made and distributed by Industrias Eléctricas y Musicales Odeon S.A. (Odeon Records Chile), licensed from Capitol Records Inc., U.S.A. Recording, catalog number F 4003, with machine etched matrix numbers MD45 E 19239 in Side A and MD45 E 18524 in Side B, with black/silver Capitol Records labels of the period and large center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER GREAT FIND FROM CHILE!!!

“The Song From "Kings Go Forth" (Monique)” by Frank Sinatra was originally released in USA in June 1958 and late the same year we got this single released here in Chile. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and play time of each song, with additional information about licenses and the price, “$1000”, printed in Side A. In both songs are also credited the conductor of the orchestra in each song, Felix Slatkin in Side A and Billy May in Side B, and information about the United Artists film where the song is taken from. In Side A, the Spanish title is “Rencor Implacable” (Relentless Resentment), the title used in Chile for the film “Kings Go Forth” and the name of Felix Slatkin is written “Félix”, with the accent, originally omitted in original US press. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE PRESS of this classic single by Frank Sinatra, with Spanish-written titles and black Capitol Records labels, a record almost never seen. WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Frank Sinatra and Traditional Vocal music of the pre-Rock’N’Roll age!!!

This single doesn’t come with a cover. Record is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean but with loads of light scuffs, hairlines and very soft scratches, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in NM or NM+ condition the Side A, clear and clean, with not even spindle hole wear, and in G+ or VG- condition the Side B, so clean and clear like the Side A, but with a big tear at top, which deleted almost all the word “Capitol” and it’s painted black. The sound is in EX or even EX+ condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (background noise was normal in records from Chile), with minimal soft crackles, and in VG+ or EX- condition the Side B, almost same condition of Side A, but with soft crackles a bit more evident and some light occasional clicks, which of course don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, a MEGARARE record with BLACK CAPITOL RECORDS LABELS and Spanish-written song titles in still a great condition, maybe not for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles, but for sure with still a nice look, not bad labels and great sound quality after about 64 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean issue!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

______________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
