Up for bids is an original Mono Jazz LP by the Freddie Redd Quartet called "Music From The Connection" on Blue Note Records. BLP 4027. 1960.

Featuring Jackie McLean.

ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING WITH "43 West 61st Street, New York 23, N.Y." on back of cover's bottom-center, and "47 WEST 63rd • NYC" on both labels.

DEEP GROOVE PRESSING!

Front of cover is slightly laminated.

Record's edges are raised.

Both labels have the "?" symbol.

Matrix (or trail-off) numbers have the "ear" followed by a stamped "RVG" then finally an etched "BN-LP-4027 ? A ? " for Side 1, and the stamped "RVG" followed by "ear" then finally an etched "BN-LP-4027 ? B ? " for Side 2.

NOTE:

The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.

Cover is in VG to VG+ condition. Front and back have some wear. Back cover slick has some fraying on the edges and is torn on its bottom-right corner (it was pressed slightly offsides). Back of cover also has a name written across the top. Bottom corner at opening has a 1/2" split. Spine is actually pretty intact with some tearing towards the very top and bottom.

I would rate the record’s condition as VG+ to VG++. Has a couple of minor marks and some hairline scratches that don't greatly affect play. Side 1's label has a tiny tear above the "E" in "NOTE". Record still has plenty of gloss, shine and fidelity! Sounds amazing on my player!

Makes a great gift for any Freddie Redd, Jackie McLean or Blue Note Jazz fan!
