rare German first press vinyl 3LP set released in the 1950s on red/gold ELECTROLA / HIS MASTER'S VOICE label with catalognumbers WALP 1130/1131 /1132. This set has the earliest matrixnumber (see details below) with the square [33] on lower label rim as only featured on very first pressings...
The flipback covers with typical signs of time, and vinyl with only few marks here and there, but I playgraded with Ortofon SPU mono pickup and can confirm their are no skips with just the typical noise here and there, this set playgrades EXC to NEARMINT and it has clean labels and no spindlemarks - overall a fantastic collectible set! Collectors and audiophiles will know how impossible it is to find these early pressings in perfect MINT condition, even here in Germany - this is one of the best copies I have seen in years... The soundquality and dynamics of these early pressings is absolutely amazing.
Famous performance by Furtwängler conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and State Opera Chorus, all recorded with superb audiophile soundquality same as the famous Furtwangler Beethoven Symphony releases on the same label... see photos.
