rare German first press vinyl 2LP box set released in the 1950s on red/gold HIS MASTER'S VOICE label with catalognumber WALP 1286 and WALP 1287.  

Note that this is the rare version with the label variotions: one side has the early square [33] on the lower label rim, and on the other side the triangle variation.Furthermore this is the version with full applause at the end of the fourth set. Collectors and audiophiles will know that first pressings came with square 33 on labels, and no applause heard.

Beautiful clothbound box with gold lettering on the spine, complete with booklet and stitched innersleeves, with vinyl in pristine NEARMINT/MINT condition - perfect!  

Famous reference performance by Wilhelm Furtwangler conducting the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra, and a rare find in this fantastic vinyl condition. Best results if you use a mono cartridge such as e.g. Ortofon SPU, EMT, Koetsu Mono, Pierre Clement, ... etc.  See photos ...
