Recorded at Sound City, Los Angeles and pressed in Japan on Super High Definition Vinyl this is a 1979 Original Master Recording, limited edition Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab half-speed master of Fleetwood Mac’s self-titled album first pressed in 1975. As always I will provide an honest assessment of the album for the benefit of buyer and seller. Although I have looked after the album to the best of my ability I can only assume the damage to the spine (please see photos) is due to the quality of the cardboard used for the cover. Some of the writing on the spine is still visible and the front and back of the cover are in excellent condition. The inner sleeve is still included although I have replaced it with a more modern protective sleeve and the insert is still in superb condition.
Having play graded the album I will point out two very minor clicks on “Warm Ways” and a slight pop before “Crystal”, neither of which detract from the overall sound which is superb, being a half speed master. There are wonderful dynamics and clarity throughout and very little surface noise to be heard. As such I am happy to classify the album as at least EX. The labels are unmarked with no visible spindle wear. This is a limited edition copy and would make a great addition for any collector of original Fleetwood Mac albums.
