Description
This is number 1337 of 1384 of this rare, classic Fred Astaire recording, autographed by Mr. Astaire! The Astaire Story, a cloth-bound red album containing four translucent-blue LPs of Flip Philips, tenor saxophone, Charles Shavers, trumpet, Oscar Peterson, piano, Barney Kessel, guitar, Ray Brown, bass Alvin Stoller, drums and Fred Astaire, vocalist and tap-dancer, six David Stone Martin black and white prints of Astaire at the session and a color print of a Stone Martin painting of the session; eleven pages of black and white photos of the session (6) and a color photo of Astaire at the session-these are by either Gjon Mili or Paul Nodler; five bound-in pale-blue envelopes-four for the records and one for the prints; a song-index page; an Astaire autograph and edition number page; three pages of notes by Norman Granz or Fred Astaire; end-papers, a frontispiece, etc. The set was produced by Norman Granz and was manufactured by Mercury Records in about 1952. This LP Set is from the same collector, a former Professor of Film & Poetry. It is in pristine condition, very lightly used, if at all. Offered here without a reserve!
