Description
Free 1st Press OZ LP Free at last EX ’72 Pink Rim Island SIL934565 Blues Rock
Original 1st press OZ LP released in 1972 on the Pink Rim Island Records Label. Cat: SIL934565.
This record came from a collection in absolutely stunning condition, many not played at all and most only played a few times at best.
Following Paul Rodgers' unsuccessful project titled Peace and Andy Fraser's ill-fated Toby, Free rebuilt themselves and released Free at Last in the summer of 1972. The band went right back to what they knew best, with Rodgers baring his blues-rock soul to Kossof's moody electric guitar. Tracks like "Sail On," "Soldier Boy," and "Travelling Man" come out on top as some of the band's most emotive material, proving that their breakup in 1971 had no real effect on their chemistry.
Tracks : Catch a train/ Soldier boy/ Magic ship/ Sail on/ Travellin’ man/ Little bit of love/ Guardian of the universe/ Child/ Goodbye.
There are some light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks that cause some light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover has a sticker stain on top right corner and is in Excellent condition.
