Description
An original 1st press of Heartbreaker on the UK Island label from 1973. Matrix 2/2 - 1st cut. Etching "Sterling". Stampers 1-GP/1-RR. Label design is consistent with very 1st press. The vinyl comes housed in an original Robor printed cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original lyric inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side, and a couple of superficial trails - absolutely nothing that will feature in the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Quiet passages as well as the complex parts are equally impressive and hard to find fault with. Truly amazing level of reproduction with fantastic transparency and barely a whiff of interference. All I could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It's a top-level copy.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Wow! Has anyone ever seen Heartbreaker look this good? The front is nothing short of remarkable - pristine white with no creasing or marks..just sweeet! If I were being hyper-critical I'd mention there is the slightest hint of ageing along 1mm of the opening edge..pretty darn good I'd say! The rear is equally good - borderline faultless. Edge wear is totally absent and this so so unusual. Corners are perfectly square and the spine is just unbelievable - perfect! Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. FINAL UPGRADE.
Inner (Ex-) No splits or markings. Lightest ageing.
