Description
Gene Krupa – The Rocking Mr Krupa
Clef Records
Thank you for looking at my item.
Here on offer is a rare recording by expert jazz drummer Gene Krupa entitled The Rocking Mr Krupa. Issued on Clef Records MGC627. I was unable to find the exact year of the release. The highlight of this album is the autographs of Gene Krupa, Saxophonist Eddie Shu and pianist Teddy Napoleon. Written on the back of this album by this trio is “Greetings to our Australian friends”.
Songs include:
· Don’t be that way
· How hight the moon
· Sing, Sing, Sing
· Love for sale
· Booted
· This can’t be love
· Harmonica - Shu Boogie
· September song
CONDITION
Cover – Reasonable amount of wear and tear including ring wear, sticker mark, water stains and a tear in the bottom 2 cm of the cover. The autographs are accompanied by some texta number and hand written times for each track. Also some red biro marks. Fair+.
Vinyl – Has many scuffs on side 1 and some scratches on both sides. Has a small buckle between track 4 and 5 on side 2. Fortunately the record tracks okay and there are no jumps or repeats. You will find noise on various parts but there are many passages of loud clear inspired jazz. Good-.
In conclusion a great piece of 50s/60s jazz memorabilia.
