Description
My eBay name is 'punky_music' and I'm a full-time record dealer since nearly 30 years
Never released with a picture sleeve. Superclean original first pressing, released in 1977. You will not find a cleaner one. Only 500 records of this brilliant punk 7” were made. Old eBay prices: $50 + £38 + £34 + £33 + £32. It's a cracker. 'The Demo Tapes' are exclusive to this release. In other words the ‘Perfect Hits’ EP by GENERATION X features MUCH RAWER and ROUGHER versions than the regular song versions. You can hear ‘Your Generation’ / ‘Ready Steady Go’ and the fantastic ‘Save My Life’. The catalogue number of this rarity is GX-1. I have found the following information from the internet, written by John Ingham, co-manager of the band.
GX-1 was the band's first recording sessions and demos, done in Spring '77. We (band and management) pressed them ourselves and had our assistant go to record shops to sell them on the Kings Road on Saturdays. I think we pressed 500.

Mailing / Versand: all records will be sent in plain white 7“ sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits (alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen 7“ Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden). All records will be shipped in special record mailers. Two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending. Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt.
