Description

Original solid-label pressing with picture sleeve. This is an original release – solid label pressing with rare picture sleeve in excellent condition. I’ve actually graded the record as VG (Very Good), though there are no scratches or scuff marks, just faint hairline marks – mainly at the beginning of each side, and the odd tiny scratch, though nothing major and I’m sure the record would play with minimal hiss (unfortunately, I don’t have a deck on which to play the record and grade my records visually using LED lighting). I’m sure there are some sellers who would grade this record as EX, or possibly even EX+, but I prefer to grade conservatively and I think VG is close. With a good clean using a professional machine, or proprietary cleaning solution, it should be possible to restore the vinyl to an almost near mint state. Labels are clean on both sides with no evidence of wear around the spindle hole – well at least nothing that I can see with the naked eye.

Sleeve is nice. This I’ve also graded as VG, though many might say it falls somewhere between EX and EX-, but it’s a tough one to grade accurately, especially given the age of the single, and its scarcity. This is after all an extremely rare single and one that only comes along once in a blue moon. It’s also on many collector’s ‘wants lists’ now. There is ring-wear present and a little light creasing – clearly shown in the two photos I’ve taken, though I can provide more photos, if required. One thing I have noticed, is that in both pics, the sleeve looks slightly more of a pale yellow, than the bright yellow that it actually is. This is obviously due to the poor lighting in which I took the photos.

There are currently four copies of the single for sale, three on Discogs and one other on eBay, and these are priced at between £700 and £900 consecutively. I’ve owned this particular copy for quite a few years and have priced it at roughly what I originally paid and given how rare it is, I think this is a fair price. Postage is free within the UK and international shipping includes tracking. Both record and sleeve will be packed separately to ensure maximum protection during transit.
