Description
GENESIS TRESPASS MEGA RARE MISPRESS LABEL LP With NURSERY CRYME BIG HATTER B & C CHARISMA UK
We are delighted to offer something a little special for the GENESIS enthusiast
Here we go with a bit of a puzzle - A Copy of TRESPASS With The Trespass Label for side 1 as you might expect BUT the Other Side has THE NURSERY CRYME LABEL !
So I’m guessing we have a rogue mispressed label - The Vinyl plays both sides as TRESPASS
and has CAS 1020A and CAS 1020B etched in the dead wax ( Not stamped as is usual with B & C Pressings)
labels are both B & C CHARISMA large Hatters ( the Second version of the label after the PINK SCROLL)
To further add to the puzzle this sounds a little different to the other B& C Pressing I have or for that matter the Pink Scroll Pressing
It seems slightly louder than the standard pressing - with the vocals and guitar slightly more forward - I don't think its a different Mix
but I'm not a recording expert perhaps something to do with the cutting stage - which may explain the etched MATRIX !
Common sense suggests this was a mix up at the pressing plant - but having done quite a bit of research I can find no evidence of another copy like this .
I can only guess this may be something to do with the Genesis Collection Volume one Box Set where Trespass and Nursery Cryme were put together
in the same box first issued in April 1975 with the large Hatter B & C labels - because otherwise why would the different labels be in the pressing plant at the same time .
But it is only a guess - perhaps someone out there in Genesis-land could come up with an alternative idea -
Quite possibly the only one like this in the world !
CONDITION SLEEVE IS EXCELLENT with Original Insert
NURSERY CRYME LABEL IS EXCELLENT
TRESPASS LABEL IS VERY GOOD with a small tear alongside the Yellow white Rabbit ( See Photos )
VINYL IS VERY GOOD / CLOSE TO EXCELLENT - There are 3 or 4 small mild surface marks which are faintly audible in the Quietest passages
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BIDS AND THANKS FOR READING !
