This is a rare UK 1st press of ‘Octopus' by Gentle Giant. This press has the earliest 6360080 1Y//1 - 2Y//1 matrix and the rare spiral Vertigo label. It is complete with the original Vertigo inner sleeve and heavy card gatefold sleeve.

Vinyl Condition : The record is in VERY GOOD condition. The vinyl is still jet black, with a bright gloss. There is no sign of whitening or heavy play to the grooves, there are however a few extremely light wispy marks on both sides. 

Label Condition : The earliest spiral Vertigo label is in EXCELLENT condition. It is exceptionally bold and unworn. The white is superb, the text is sharp and there is just the slightest spindle wear. 

Audio Quality : When played the sound is VERY GOOD - rich, vibrant and complete with the original bold audio separation. There is some noise especially in the quieter moments but this rare 1st press can still be enjoyed from start to finish.

Inner Sleeve Condition : The Vertigo inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. The sleeve has the slightest discolouration but is extremely solid and clean.

Sleeve Condition : The heavy card gatefold sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. The green is bold and the colours are vivid. The edges have some light wear and there is a tiny scuff on the top edge but they are still very firm. The inside lyrics are clear and bright and the whole sleeve is very solid.
