Description

Yet another great LP to be auctioned from an absolutely outstanding collection of records which used to belong to a well-known record reviewer. We here at Stamford Audio have never before seen such an amazing collection, and such a sterling one in this kind of outstanding condition is a rarity indeed.

This is Gentle Giant's classic swirl progressive LP 'Octopus' on Vertigo 6360 080, a first pressing with matrix numbers 1/1 and 2/1, with original inner sleeve.

The gatefold matt sleeve is tremendous; only the ghost of a sticker in the top left corner. Nothing else wrong at all! Easily grades NEAR MINT!!

The vinyl is equal to the sleeve. The labels are very near untouched. There are a couple of light spindle marks, but they are very small. This looks barely played! There is one extremely light mark on side two, track one and a couple on side one, tracks three and four which are inaudible; the winning bidder will not be disappointed with an LP that we can confidently grade as NEAR MINT!
