GENTLE GIANT - THREE FRIENDS
An excellent plus condition copy of this 1972 UK 1st press prog gem with brilliant sound quality throughout
Year/Label : UK VERTIGO Swirl 1972
Label number : 6360 070
Matrix numbers : 6360070 1Y//2 420 / 6360070 2Y//2 420
Stampers : 1 1 7 04 / 1 1 4 04
Increasingly rare and sought after 1972 UK 1st press prog gem with excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - gleaming, jet black sheen and earliest 1Y/2, 2Y/2 pressing with just a few very wispy hairlines and extremely faint paper scuffs - each purely superficial and only identifiable with close inspection under a bright light. Clearly this is a record that has been sparingly played. Crisp, clean excellent plus (EX+) condition labels with just a few extremely faint spindle trails on each. The non-laminated gatefold sleeve remains in beautiful, excellent (EX) condition with firm, largely unscuffed edges, near perfectly defined right angled corners with very minor rubbing only, and no creasing, unwanted writing, or colour fading...just a couple of very light small storage marks and some very light, minor intermittent scuffing (negligible) on the bottom edges. The only other blemishes are that the front and back side of the gatefold are slightly offset from each other, so that when the gatefold is folded the top and bottom edges are slightly offset from each other - I have tried to capture this in one of my photos - and a very light diagonal surface crease (more of a "crinkle", really) towards the top right corner of the reverse side see penultimate photo). The interior of the gatefold is near perfect and all colours, art work and text remain crisp, clean, and superbly defined still. The quality of the stereo audio is superb with no clicks or interference and any background crackle is purely incidental and at an absolute minimum - simply great tone and crystal clear instrumentation and vocals throughout with every track a great listen. Comes complete with near perfect condition poly-lined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve with no side splits, tears, edge fraying or age discolouration.
Now becoming difficult to find these UK 1st pressings in as impressive condition as this - a welcome addition to any serious progressive rock vinyl collection.
POSTAGE COSTS :
For the UK £4 using Royal Mail tracked 48;
for continental Europe £13 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked/signed for,
and for the rest of the world £19 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked/signed for.
I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.
Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 54 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
