George Harrison - 'Wonderwall Music'. APCOR 1
George Harrison 1968 UK 1st MONO pressing of the 'Wonderwall Music' album. Released on the 1st November 1968, and offered here FULLY COMPLETE WITH THE APPLE INSERT/BLACK INNER and in EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.
'Wonderwall Music' is an experimental soundtrack to the 1968 film 'Wonderwall'. It was the very first solo Beatle album and the first album to released on the newly formed Apple Records label (it was also the first to be deleted). The album failed to chart here in the UK and is easily one of the rarest Apple / George Harrison albums to obtain. When produced around 90% were issued in stereo with the remaining 10% in mono. I would estimate that only a few thousand (2000) mono copies were ever produced and offered for sale - a very elusive album.
Released on the Apple Records label both sides state the 'Sold in UK....' text. Within the run out area of the vinyl can be seen the original designated catalog number crossed out AP 1A-1 & AP 1B-1. This was changed after production began to APCOR 1 full details of the matrix are below. The vinyl is housed within the original black die cut inner sleeve which is in particularly nice condition. The original and correct MONO sleeve is fully laminated with APCOR 1 catalog number and a small MONO logo printed in a very strange position on the rear cover. The rear cover is actually printed upside down when compared with the front which is something I have never seen on any Apple album before. This may well be a printing error. The APPLE INSERT is great condition with recording details of the album on one side and and Apple logo to the other. One of the very rarest Apple album to obtain - FULLY COMPLETE, in great condition and rare mono format.

Side 1. APCORE 1A-1 1 M
Side 2. APCORE 1B-1 1 M
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition. Two very small areas of white residue on one side which do not effect play. Both sides of the vinyl have been play tested and sound great with NO problems.
Both labels are in MINT- condition. STUNNING.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition. Seam split to the bottom edge otherwise would grade higher. I will also include an additional inner sleeve for protection.
The insert is in EXCELLENT condition.
