Description

Welcome to my auction for George Wallington Quintet – Jazz For The Carriage Trade. The record you are bidding on has the following characteristics and specifications:

• Artist(s): George Wallington (piano), Phil Woods (alto), Donald Byrd (trumpet), Teddy Kotick (bass), Art Taylor (drums)

• Title: Jazz For The Carriage Trade

• Label: Prestige (PRLP 7032) 446 W. 50th NYC.

• Year: 1956

• Record : Near Mint. This double-sided deep-groove pressing is in fantastic condition. From it’s bright sheen, it looks as if it was bought yesterday. There are not even superficial paper scuffs. Labels are in mint condition. This record looks like it may have been played once or twice before I acquired it.

• Cover condition: Very Good +. All seams are tight and intact. The front and back of the cover are stain and ink free.

I have played this LP twice. The sound is superb. It is loud, clear, and crisp. There is NO surface noise of any kind. You will not be disappointed with this record. It is an exceptional session featuring the young Donald Byrd.
