The George Wallington Quintet - Music For the Carriage Trade
Catalog # Prestige PRLP 7032
Side A = PRLP-7032-A RVG
Side B = PRLP-7032-B RVG
Media = VG. For being a VG lp from 1956, this particular copy still has a remarkable amount of gloss. Both sides play textbook VG, as well. They have a few light marks on either side that cannot be felt with a fintertip, and side A has one mark that can JUST BARELY be felt by my fingertip. There are a couple of very light revolution ticks toward the middle of track one, and the same happens toward the middle of track two. They are light, and do not overpower the music, or even come close to doing so. Side two has a few light crackles at the beginning of track one that dissipate completely as it gets going. BOTH sides play all the way through without skipping, and without any overpowering noise, though. A nice, slightly above average play copy for someone who wants to feel like theyre playing right next to you.
Sleeve = G+. General wear, throughout. None of the sides are split, and the spine is fully intact. Most of my rationale for giving this the G+ grading is due to the significant discoloration to both the front, AND the back of the LP. This is evident in the pictures I have provided above. The record, itself, is actually significantly nicer than the sleeve.
All lps are visually graded only unless specifically stated. This LP has been play graded, as well.
I grade using Goldmine Standards.
I use brand new mailers, sleeves, and inserts to make sure your record lands your way in the same shape it was sent out in.
Rest assured, I know how to package, as well as how to accurately grade an LP. Please check my feedback if that is something you’re worried about.
