COSMIC / SALANDA / XERES / BLIMAN ... 7-inch, 45rpm ITALIAN LIBRARY OST EP single by COMPLESSO GIANNI SAFRED. Original Italian pressing on the GOLDEN RECORDS label (FC 1038), from circa 1977. Yet another obsessive selection of futuristic funk / proto techno and cosmic dub by the Italian Cyberman ;) A masterclass in synthetic rhythms like an experimental mix between his Futuribile Library sound and Herbie Hancock's Headhunters. This is the EP released just before his HELL / BUNG etc recording on Golden Records FC 1039 (also on our auctions right now ;) Space is the place on this unusual single featuring his trademark synthesizers / tweeting alien percussion / primitive disco drum machines / Headhunters style fender rhodes and leftfield clavinet. Fender rhodes space jazz with stoned funky electronics and slightly disturbing undercurrent to BLIMAN / futuristic funk with electro shockwaves on XERES / Spanish moog a la Alfonso Santisteban with clattering flamenco drum programming and Pedro Ruy-Blas style 12-string guitar fusion break on SALDANA / Billy Cobham Stratus-esque dub drums rolling under ear piercing synthesizers on COSMIC. Great for DJs. Next level item, and another must have for the 7-inch Italian Library lover. Lots of strange loops / beats and breaks. Outstanding mood music for an unknown Italian soundtrack / television or radio programme. Rare Library EP!!!
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is in shiny, VG++ overall regardless of some hairlines and faint scuffs from storage. Light surface noises. Some soft pops / ticks in places (as you can hear on our soundclip) but near impossible to find in better condition than this :) The soft card sleeve is in VG++ condition with creasing from storage and a touch of corner / edge wear in places. A couple of blemishes from the original printing process. Storage dirt marks to front sleeve / ring dirt marks to back (blank) sleeve. Rare Library EP!!!
Please feel free to contact us with any condition queries you may have preferably before bidding. We will get back to you asap.
