GIFT s/t rare 1974 Canadian XIAN Rock Pop Psych SSW lp! 

1974/Canada/Christopher Records CH-108….This is a rare original Canadian pressing. This group was about fourty minutes from where I live and this record very seldom turns up for sale. The lightly textured gatefold cover is in solid VG+ to VG++ condition, the is light corner wear/bumps, spotty light seam wear, small surface tear on front cover and a couple on the lower back cover, otherwise the cover is solid and clean with no splits or delete. The vinyl is in strong VG++ condition with just very few minor light inaudible sleeve scuffs/scratches, minor light storage staining from the inner sleeve, plays nice with only minor light occasional noise mainly at cue and between the odd track. The labels are clean. This is a nice copy of this obscure lp! Please check my auctions for other folk, rock and psych lp's. Good luck and thanks for looking!

Fans of Jim Croce and early James Taylor will find a real treat in this Ontario foursome’s album of gentle acoustic rock with a ’70s singer/songwriter pop edge.  Soft keyboards (piano, electric piano, organ), melodic songs, nice harmonization, clean production underscoring acoustic guitar leads.  Members include Ray Murphy, Darrell Gillespie, Gary Freeburn, and Tom Marsh.  ‘What Can Be Done’, ‘Great Divide’, ‘Would You Like To Be Free’, ‘Walkin’ Down The Street’ and ‘New Born Babes’ are all memorable songs, rich with feeling.  Light electric guitar leads on ‘Wealth Of Living’ and ‘It’ll Get Easier’. Top-drawer packaging with watercolor painting on gatefold cover.  A real thing of beauty.      (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).

MINT: as stated with no defects

NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition.
