Gene Clark with the Gosdin Brothers 1967 UK CBS LP - Near Mint

Need to create some space, so I'm selling a few albums - initially duplicates or those I don't play any more. You never know, there might just be something to suit your taste, so check them out. This listing is for an original CBS UK issue of Gene Clark's solo debut in superb condition.

The Album:
This was is the debut solo album from Gene Clark, his first after leaving the Byrds in 1966. A critical success, it was unfortunately released simultaneously with the Byrds' album Younger Than Yesterday and was a commercial failure. Backing musicians on the album include Chris Hillman, Michael Clarke, Clarence White, Doug Dillard and folk/country duo the Gosdin Brothers.

Condition:
I bought this new in 1968 and played it just a few times. It has not been played at all in almost 40 years.
Cover:  This is a front-laminated single sleeve. It is intact with no rips or tears, just a few light laminate creases and light edge wear to the front, but the rear is a bit grubby with age. CBS sound of entertainment advertising inner in nice condition.
Labels: CBS orange labels - both bright and clean, no writing and hardly any spindle marks
Vinyl: Maintaining its original sheen with nothing but some very light paper scuffing. A1 B1 matrix numbers in dead wax. Plays really well with just a spot of light background in quiet patches - probably static / 40 years of dust!.

Overall:
A nice cover housing a near mint copy of a rare album - I'd guess that this might be professionally graded at VG / M-. There can't be many better copies of this rare album.
