1955 Progressive High Fidelity PLP 1001 Mono LP
George Wallington Quintet at the Bohemia featuring The Peck.
Up for auction is a truly exquisite copy of this rare gem.
A side etching: 2208-A, RVG, F90P-8604-1
B side etching: 2208-B, R, 22G, F90P-8605-1, A1, RVG.
JACKET CONDITION: VG+
-completely intact, with NO seam splitting on any side, however all four corners do have bump wear from handling. Some color fading around the edges on the front common due to the age. The pasted sheet on the back is complete with NO tears, however some glue separation at the edges in various places, although it is NOWHERE near coming off.
-the only writing (see photo) are two prices in back left top corner. Although it is the only molestation, it's kind of a fun one as it writes a crossed out 3.49 with a replaced one of 2.88... what I can only assume is a time stamp of prices of the record's history of traveling through used record shops.
-plain white paper sleeve only, to be honest, I'm not sure if this LP originally had a specific inner sleeve.
VINYL CONDITION: VG++, some might consider NM.
-not a single scratch scuff or blemish as visually graded. There are some imperfections in the vinyl if you really look for them but they appear to be factory, and have no affect on the playback. I play graded the record start to finish on both sides with ZERO issues. It has to be one of the cleanest records I have ever heard. Not a pop, not even crackle common to old vinyl... and absolutely not a skip.
-No warping, bowing, or dishing of any kind.
-although it's hard, I did my best to photograph the vinyl to show the condition, but it just doesn't do any justice.
-the only markings are on the dead wax, and they are hard to determine as either light to medium scuffs from handling, or just factory imperfections.
-both labels are perfect. you can tell this record was rarely if ever played and always stored as the colors are bright and there is not a single mark, tear or blemish on either side.
