Description
Gloria Jones - Come Go With Me
Original 1966 pressing of this Northern Soul classic released on the Upton label (T-5700).
Gloria Jones was famous as the girlfriend of Marc Bolan, the original singer of Soft Cell's Tainted Love and released five LPs - this is the very first.
The vinyl is in first class condition - it's 51 years old but still sounds great, minimal surface noise - a really clean copy.
The front of the sleeve looks fine and is signed by Gloria herself. The only sleeve issue is a small split along the bottom seem and what looks like a light pink (possibly wine) mark on the back - (see pic). It doesn't actually look that bad (it doesn't smell etc) but it should be pointed out. Since I've had it, it's been kept in a protective sleeve. The rear of the sleeve is faded in places - it is the 1966 original!
The spine is really good, considering the age, and you can clearly read the artist and title.
I don't know where or when it was signed but under the signature it looks like it might say 1-20-08 which in America could be January 20, 2008.
