Description

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (With The Tri-Fold Cover) Pressed on High Definition Super Vinyl at The Victor Company of Japan by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs.  In it's original protective outer bag.  Limited pressing from 1989 when the demand for vinyl was nearing it's lowest point. Limited edition # 3791 of only 5000 pressed.
As I went about building my record collection, certain titles that I considered standouts musically and sonically, I researched to determine which editions of those titled were considered the best sounding and which ones sounded closest to the original multi-track tapes. I researched this information at audiophile sites like The Steve Hoffman forum. (Steve Hoffmaan is a renowned and well respected mastering engineer, and most of the titles he mastered are considered to be the best sounding versions of those titles.) The consensus among the audiophiles who contribute to his site is two versions that sound the best among many comparisons including SACD versions are the british pressing on yellow vinyl, and The limited Mobile Fidelity vinyl pressing of Goodbye yellow Brick Road. When asked, which version of this album most closely sounds like the master tapes, Steve Hoffman himself said the Mobile Fidelity pressing does.
The Mobile Fidelity label have had some successes and failures in their mastering choices over the years but the one thing they are known for is having the best, quietest, and most flawless vinyl on the market. In this category, they had no peers. It is only recently that the rest of the vinyl market has begun to catch up to what Mobile Fidelity was producing 30 years ago.
With songs like Roy Rogers, Saturday Nights Alright For Fighting, Bennie And The Jets, Harmony, Goodbye yellow Brick Road, Funeral For A Friend etc. This has to be Elton John's finest album. It was recorded beautifully as well and the two versions that will put you, the listener, in the room with the master tapes are the British yellow vinyl pressing and this Mobile Fidelity pressing.
There is no contest as to which one is pressed to the best quality vinyl, that would be this one. And only the Mobile Fidelity pressing comes with the tri-fold cover.... The British yellow vinyl is only available with a gatefold cover. (two folds as compared with three) I searched for a long time to find a sealed copy of this album and found it at the very reasonable price of $225.  it's a double Mobile Fidelity pressing housed in in beautiful tri-fold cover.
A few medical bills caused me to have to think about which records I needed to part with, Lucky you.

Insured priority shipping within the United States is included in the price. US bidders only please. No Returns

Ive been collecting records from ebay for many years and although these are my first few sales, I have LP mailer boxes and will ship them out the same day as payment as long as the post office is still open. At the very least they will be brought to the post office the next day the post office is open. I know how to box LPs safely so they will arrive undamaged. I am not making a business of this, I'm selling a few from my collection for medical bills.
Please be respectful and pay in a reasonable amount of time (up to 24hrs), and I will bring the item to the post office the same or next day of a cleared payment, and upgrade the shipping to priority
