Description

Guru Guru UFO RARE ORIG ? OHR OMM 556 005 GERMAN GF LP . A SIDE: 1 Stone In 2 Girl Call 3 Next Time See You At The Dalai Lhama . B SIDE: 1 UFO 2 Der LSD - Marsch . I have put a ? in the title listing after the word ORIG . This is purely because i must say i am not a serious fan of the band , but i do know that this record is fast becoming quite a rarity nowadays in it's original form . The only reason for the ? is , as i was doing some research on the item , i found some sites saying it was from 1971 and some saying 1970 . I have checked with an avid fan and he says that it is the original , as he has the record . On doing more research , i found that the item is in it's correct laminated GF cover format and ( which is the important bit ) is on the correct original labels and correct catologue numbers . The GF inner cover does say ( though it is in German ) along the lines of produced in june 1970 . This all tied in fine until i noticed on the labels , it says P 1971 . So hence the slight confussion . As all else is correct , and with the info i have found , i have no reason to think that it is not the original , please see photo's etc . I am sure that the more expert eyes out there will know at a glance that it is , i just wanted to mention this for obvious reasons .

Cover: Front and rear laminated cover generally in near excellent overall condition . There is just a very little bit of the very lightest edge and corner wear . Corners just have the tiniest bit of rubwear only and edges are virtually unmarked . All is still lovely and shiny on the laminate with just a few very light and small surface marks . There are just a few very light and small surface crack lines in places on the edges . The spine is excellent and fully legible . If i had to be ultra critical , then there is a very slight misalignment on the opening edges . This really is  slight indeed and i doubt most would have mentioned it . There is a line strip on the front and rear of the spine edge which appears to be a slightly different shade than the rest , but i have seen my friends record and his is virtually identical , i think it is probably something to do with a laminate reaction though this i can't confirm . The inner GF is in very nice overall condition . There are just a few small rub fade marks near the centre fold crease and the same in places again mainly nearer the centre . There are just a few very light surface marks . There is a small ( approx 10mm ) white line mark near the top right corner . There is just a tiny bit of normal useage wear on the opening edges . There is a scrawl line near the top edge on the rear , but this can really only be seen when held to a certain angle to the light . The rest of the rear is as the front description . There are just the usual , but extremely light ringwear marks . There is a small laminate creasewear line near the centre of the rear opening edge . The record comes with a plain white paper inner sleeve in excellent condition with just some light surface creasewear marks and the usual but light ringwear marks .

Record: Visually in very good overall condition with just a few very light surface marks . On the whole it plays perfectly crisp and clear throughout , though there is some static and some odd ticks ( mainly on the quieter parts , run ins / offs and track changeovers ) . The static is more evident on approx the first half of each side and is then just in odd places and most of the odd ticks are mainly at the start of side two . I would say it is more audibly louder on side two generally . I have noticed a little bit of surface groove dust when i held it to the daylight , so i do think that a lot of this will be remedied with a pro clean ? . The static is not constant at all and whilst audible , in my opinion is not ultra loud or too offensive , as a lot of the audio itself is quite loud . I do hope i haven't made this out to be megga bad and trashed as it certainly isn't , i do just like to be thorough with all my descriptions . Yes there is noise , but i think it is all part of the vinyl experience and obviously bearing in mind the age and popularity of the record . On the whole as i say it does still play and sound great ( bar the already stated ) . The overall audio tones are still great also . There are no jumps etc and it does still retain a good overall shine . Both labels are excellent , lovely and clean with just a few light spindle marks . All in all still a nice overall example of this now rare and very collectable item . I have checked on value etc and the three that i found ranged from £100 to £165 and the £100 one was trashed ! . I am being sensible with this and obviously for the reasons stated , i am starting this off with a ridiculously low start price , considering the rarity and overall value . Thank you very much for your time and interest and happy bidding .

ALL RECORDS , DVD’s , VIDEOS + CD’s ARE PLAY TESTED FROM START TO FINISH ON BOTH SIDES .

Postage prices shown are  for  the UK and Europe only . Please note that any bids that exceed £30.00p GBP ( inclusive ) , will be sent via 1st class recorded in the UK and International signed for if outside the UK . Please be aware that the extra cost for this WILL be added on to the base rates that are shown , thank you . Please can you wait for my invoice before paying , thank you . Please also note that I always obtain proper proof of postage when I post any items . Please note that the European prices are slightly more than normal , due to the extra slight weight of the cover , sorry for this .

Please note that whilst I haven’t increased my postage charges for quite a while now , this , now second recent price increase within a year , has seen me , unfortunately , have to put a slight increase on my overall charges . This is also topped with the rise in cost for quality card mailers and stiffeners . I will mention that it now costs me between £3.42p and £3.50p ( depending on whether I buy 50 or 100 mailers with two stiffeners ) to post an LP in the UK 1st class with 2 stiffeners . Please also note that I now send ALL LP’s with a minimum of 3 stiffeners and all 7” singles with a minimum of 2 stiffeners . Believe it or not , these stiffeners are now 20p each for LP’s . A 7” single now costs me £1.49p to post 1st class with 2 stiffeners in the UK . As you can see , I am actually still making a loss on postage overall , but I do obviously want to still remain competitive and still offer  my usual top quality service . My apologies also to all my European friends , as there is now yet another steep increase on all postage outside of the UK , so again I am sorry for also having to increase my European postage prices .

Please note that due to high ( mainly dollar ) currency conversion charges by Paypal topped with that most of my records are below £5.00p each , i can no longer offer a worldwide postal service. A £2.29p record to the USA now comes with a 68p charge from Paypal , plus all other Ebay costs , the new much higher postage costs , card mailers etc . As you can see , this is no longer viable , i am very sorry for any inconvenience .

Please note, all records and cd’s dvd’s and cassettes are tested from start to finish and inspected under normal household light conditions . Records are packed in proper card mailers with a minimum of 3 stiffeners for LP’s and 2 for 7” singles .  CD’s and DVD’s are sent in strong bubble wrap envelopes. These are also taped with brown parcel tape along all edges and seams for added protection. All are sent via RM 1st Class post or Airmail small packets .

Please note that I do not own a pro record cleaning machine , so whilst all my records are generally all clean and have a very nice shine , there obviously maybe some traces of dust particles from cleaning manually , thank you .
