Guy Warren Of Ghana - Afro Jazz
(Columbia SX 6340 UK LP 1969)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve, & comes with its original company (EMI) paper inner sleeve - which is in very nice condition.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has 1st press -1U/ -1U matrix stampers. The record has black, silver & white "Columbia" labels. They have "The Gramophone Co..." text around the upper perimeter. It has one boxed EMI logo. Released as part of the "Lansdowne Series".
Guy is backed by the cream of UK Jazz musicians. They are Don Rendell, Ian Carr, Trevor Tomkins, Dave Green, Amancio D'Silve & Michael Garrick.
A genuine UK 1st Mono pressing. These are very rare.
Sleeve: Some very mild wear only. NEAR EX condition.
Vinyl: Unfortunately there are about three small jumps at the start of Side 2. It's a shame because visually the vinyl looks VG+ to near ex. I can't really see what causes the jumps. Otherwise there are some light to mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. Fair+ condition. The labels are nice and clean & show mild spindle wear. Apart from the aforementioned jumps, the record plays excellent to excellent+.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).
Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.50 to £7.75 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £7.75 to £11.25 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £30. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
