Description
From my personal collection of private recordings, you are bidding on audio CD=s of a live opera recording starring the great Czech soprano HANNA JANKU and the great Romanian tenor LUDOVIC SPIESS. Janku was a great dramatic soprano, in demand all over Europe in the big houses, singing the great Verdi and Puccini heroines. in 1969, Spiess was an emerging star tenor, soon to make important debuts at La Scala and the Met. He had a manly voice, perfect for many of the great Verdi and Puccini heroic roles. Here they are in the 1969 BUENOS AIRES TURANDOT, recorded in very good, broadcast sound. Janku and Spiess are each in great voice for this performance, and are joined by the excellent English soprano JOAN CARLYLE. The recording is complete on 2 CD=s, has complete tracking, is on-pitch and comes in a double jewel box (overseas packages will be sent without the jewel box).
