HERB POMEROY "Jazz In A Stable"
1956 TRANSITION #1 LP!
EXCEPTIONALLY RARE LP WHICH MARKS THE DEBUT OF THE SOUGHT AFTER TRANSITION LABEL! This 1956 release was recorded live in Boston on March 13, 1955 with Herb Pomeroy (tp) Varty Haroutunian (ts) Ray Santisi (p) John Neves (b) Jimmy Zitano (d).

Cover has split down the spine, along most of the top edge and the bottom right corner. Vinyl looks VG and, due to the low volume of the pressing, it plays with a moderate amount of surface noise relative to the music.
WHAT YOU'RE GETTING: A highly sought-after pressing of a classic, original jazz LP.
WHAT YOU'RE NOT GETTING: An immaculate condition record free of surface noise or scratches. As described above, this record may contain audible scratchiness and/or skips when played (some of which can be rectified by a heavier tracking weight). Except for errors in our description, this record is being sold AS IS.

Be advised that In Your Ear ships overseas at buyer's risk. We cannot and will not refund payment for damaged or missing items when shipping outside the US. If you want to register your package for shipment outside the US, add $8.

PLEASE NOTE: We have set our shipping prices to cover costs on an average basis. You may be charged slightly more - or less - than the actual cost of postage; Priority postage varies according to destination, records and jackets vary in weight, all of which makes it impossible to set an exact "correct" price for all customers, especially internationally. We ship all LP's in new (unused) custom LP mailers. We pack records with filler pads, placing the disc in an inner sleeve outside the cover to prevent seam splitting in transit. Part of our postage fee covers the cost of the mailer and pads (which currently costs us up to a dollar per).

RECORD GRADING POLICY
MINT = like new or near new with only one or two small insignificant defects, a 9 or better on a 1-10 scale
EXCELLENT = Would be Near Mint, except for a couple of light hairlines or scuffs, which do not affect play
VG++ = still a very nice record with all or nearly all of its original gloss but may have a few more light, surface marks, hairlines, needle tracks or the like which should not materially effect play
VG+ = a nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a few pops, but has no serious problems.
VG = a well-used record that still should sound OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.
VG- = a very well-worn record that plays through without skipping, but will do until a better copy comes along.
Good = not actually good at all but probably will play through but with much in the way of surface noise, pops, crackles, etc. Still, will have no cracks, chips or the like
Fair = you’re getting this record just to own but not to play
Poor = the sky’s the limit, generally I will discard a record this bad (and sell the cover, jacket or sleeve alone) unless the label holds some particular interest
