“Recorded in a field! Beautiful drifting rural prog with a West Coast vibe in parts..so mellow. Hard to track down and this one is nice. The quartet Heron recorded 2 albums for Dawn Records in 1970-71. Their instrumentation is primarily acoustic guitars, el-bas and various keyboards (organ, piano). Their playing and singing is very inspired, and many of the songs sound as if they were recorded in one take. Sounds of birds and wind can be heard between several tracks, as a lot of the recordings were done outside a Devon country cottage.”

One of the very rarest psych folk albums from the UK and any time this album comes up for sale there is a sense of excitement. This one is nice, most copies of this album have a fair bit of wear/damage etc. I'm glad to say that this is a proper upgrade copy of a very rare album and it has the original inner, which is most often missing. An extremely hard to find, obscure psych folk album that fits right in with Forest, ISB, Nick Drake, Trees etc.

Here is a chance to own a copy of a very rare and desirable album. Not many do come up for sale at all. This one is esp. for the supreme vinyl a superb upgrade/archive copy.

Musically haunting,  some strange melodies and great improvisations. This has long been a connoisseurs acid-folk album and is of course highly sought after. Extremely hard to find and only ever seen one copy before and not even in the same class or league as this stunning example. These acid-folk albums are hard to find like this, with nowhere for unwanted sounds to hide amongst the delicate acoustic and vocal music, this vinyl gave a fantastic performance throughout. An upgrade for sure!

THE STEREO REPRODUCTION IS SUPERB AND EVERY NOTE IS HEARD CLEARLY AND CRISPLY WITHOUT DISTORTION.  NEEDLESS TO SAY, NO STICKS OR JUMPS!

 IT WILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE THIS TURNS UP AGAIN WITH AGAIN MORE TAKERS THAN EVER BEFORE. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT INVESTMENT PIECE.

Vinyl: EX+. A sublime vinyl with fantastic sound reproduction. Barely played and well cared for album and a fantastic upgrade for this ultra collectable title. No marks, no hairlines. Still looks gleaming and glossy. First press matrices and mother stampers. I have played this in full on my premium sound system (LINN SONDEK, B&W, ARCAM) and the stereo sound is simply supreme and this plays with strong gusto. NO skips, jumps crackle etc. This will be a fantastic item  for most long time psych/blues/prog collectors! A true upgrade.

 Gatefold Sleeve: EX. This is one of the hardest for wear Dawn sleeves, textured and light of colour. All intact with just the lightest of edge wear but this one has no damage or pricestickers etc. No tears or splits. The colours are rich and the sleeve lies flat. A small discreet name to the rear top left, not intrusive at all. A definite upgrade or possible archive copy. This is rare! Please have a close look at the pictures.

The original insert is still there and fully intact.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next psych album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
