What are the Before They Get Famous Charity auctions?
"Before They Get Famous" is the collective title for a number of charity auctions, uploaded simultaneously, which aim to showcase some of the highest quality artists on the live music scene from around the world, while raising money for Cancer Research UK.
This may be the one and only chance you will have to own exclusive memorabilia from these artists before they hit the big time. I encourage you to research into these artists and bid, so you can show "you knew them when..." This Auction
The winner of this auction will receive the following items, kindly donated by the brilliant Newton Faulkner. All proceeds from the auction will go to help Cancer Research UK in their continuing fight against this all too prevalent disease:
1 x Handwritten Lyrics to "I Need Something", written and signed by Newton on white A4 paper.
This piece was collected in early 2006 and the song ended up becoming Newton's debut single from his top-selling debut album "Hand Built by Robots", which fell within the top 10 of the UK album chart last week!

How did this project begin?
1 in 3 people in the UK will suffer from Cancer at some point in their lives. From personal experience, I know that this can be an incredibly testing and upsetting time for families and friends, as well as the sufferer. This led me to run the London Marathon in 2005, raising over £1200 for Cancer Research.
As a former A&R scout for Warner Bros Records, I decided to use my own knowledge of and love for the music industry to handpick some of the finest songwriting talents in the world. Missy Higgins, Nizlopi and Tom McRae have all been extremely successful since the last auctions. It's my hope that investors and fans alike will cease this opportunity to have these exclusive items, and raise a large sum for a very efficient charity.
