This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Hank Mobley “Quintet” on the New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1550. A scuff at the beginning of Side 1 (Track 1) produces seven light tics; otherwise, the playing surface retains a beautiful luster and appears to have been played once or twice. The laminated West 63 St. cover is bright and clean throughout; 1” wear at the top of the spine; ¼” wear at the bottom corners; any wear on the seams is virtually imperceptible, as they appear to have been professionally repaired/restored.
