Description
This is an all-original mono version of one of Hank Mobley's top recordings, Blue Note 4031, Soul Station. Superb performances from a great crew: Hank, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers and Art Blakey. Among the tunes: This I Dig of You, Dig Dis and the hip title track. Can't miss listening
Record and jacket are in solid VG+ condition.
Jacket has some ring wear, shelf wear, slight edge wear on the opening, lower left front corner and top left corner, all quite slight. Back looks nice. VG+(+). Address is original: 43 W. 61st, NY 23.
The quite heavy vinyl is also original: deep groove both sides, Plastilyte ‘P’ and RVG stamped in dead wax; label is Blue Note, Inc., address 47 W. 63rd, NYC. The vinyl has lost some luster but not all by any means. There are several paper scuffs, a few light scratches, none feelable. The album plays without skips and only a few light pops. There is modest crackle, but nothing that affects play. Solid VG+.
