Notes:                          This is the first pressing of a Canadian

Mercury label LP.

Description:                 Rare red label Mercury label. Subsequent pressings were on the “Buildings” Mercury label. Canadian Mercury pressings are fairly rare, given that all LPs began to be pressed on Anthem Records after 1976. The red label Mercury pressings are very rare as they were just the very first pressing. There were no red label pressings for Fly By Night and the other Lps before Anthem took over, so this was only available in 1974 and I know people who say they bought the LP in the latter part of 1974 and it had the buildings label. I cannot definitively confirm this, but it is clearly a very small pressing! Please note that the Ex- grading means that there is some sound, especially on quieter parts of songs. While not particularly distracting the static or light noise will be apparent at times. Please listen to the tracks I’ve included. The marks on the LP are not deep scratches, but light lines across the vinyl.

                                    I had originally listed this as a "first pressing" but got an email asking for clarification. The very first issue on the red label actually was stamped with the Moon Records stampers and had the MN 100 matrix and red Mercury Labels. I've sold a few of these issues and they're commonly referred to as Mercury Moon LPs. Some were placed directly into Moon LP covers (I know this as a fact, as I've sold two of these) and others had Mercury stamped onto the cover. If I recall correctly the Moon logo on the back was blacked out on most of these. I may be wrong but I also believe I've seen one where Mercury and Moon were both on the back cover. (This could be faulty memory, folks, as this was over twenty years ago.)
