This unusual collection consists of:
- a 1974 first edition of Bugliosi's "Helter Skelter, The True Story of The Manson Murders"
- a UK edition of the Paul Revere and the Raiders' 1966 "Good Thing" LP (repackaged from US version called Spirit of '67, plus a few earlier tracks)
- both will be autographed to your name by Mark
- you will receive a personal (U.S. or Canada only) phone call from Mark
Mark Lindsay and Terry Melcher were co-writers on much of the music of Paul Revere & the Raiders, and they shared the house at 10050 Cielo Drive. This was the site, of course, of the terrible murders that occurred after Mark and Terry moved out and the house was leased to Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate. Manson had been at the house in Mark's presence after he arrived from the airport following a tour.
The album cover for the Good Things album was shot on the property, which was the site for many promotional photos for the group. Mark co-founded the Raiders with Paul Revere and was lead singer from inception through 1975.
We are including a frame (with plexi-glass) for the album, as it hung in Mark's Portland Rock & Roll Cafe Restaurant.
Please note condition of the book, LP, and frame described above carefully. They are interesting pieces of memorabilia of the 60s but are not in perfect condition; much of the value is in who owned them and his personal connection with the events, not to mention the phone call and autographs.
