Description

BOB DYLAN LP - "HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED"

RARE 1965 FIRST US STEREO PRESSING ("1A" / "1A")

ALTERNATE VERSION OF "FROM A BUICK 6" (EXTENDED HARMONICA INTRO)!

WITH ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP AND "LIKE A ROLLING STONE" HYPE STICKER

The cover has most of the original shrink wrap in place as shown in the photos.  Few of these first pressings still have the original "featuring  LIKE A ROLLING STONE" sticker.  The sticker is complete with some foxing (see photos).  The shrink wrap has protected most of the cover, but the cover has some wear in areas missing the shrink wrap - including an approximate 2" seam split at the bottom right edge, a 3/4" seam split at the top right edge, and a little wear at the right edge.  In my opinion, the cover condition is VG+ or better due to the sticker and partial shrink wrap (see description below).

In my opinion the vinyl is VG (see description below).  The record plays through without skips and sounds acceptable when played on my system.  There are, however, quite a few scratches/scuffs causing some background surface noise.

The side 1 trail-off section has the following: XSM110640 1A.

The side 2 trail-off section has the following: XSM110641-1A.

Visual Grading:

Near Mint  (NM) Like new condition with minimal perceptible flaws

Excellent+ (EX+)   Extremely nice quality with few cover or vinyl wear issues

Excellent (EX)  Limited cover wear.  Vinyl has limited visual or audible imperfections which do not significantly detract from listenability of the record.

Very Good+ (VG+)  May include only minor seam splits, ring wear, cover wear, and/or small sticker tears.  The vinyl has marks (eg. scuffs, hairline scratches) visible resulting in some background surface sound.

Very Good (VG)  Some cover wear and multiple marks/wear on the vinyl.  The record is most likely to have some surface sounds throughout but should be able to play without skipping or repeating.

Good (G)  Cover and vinyl show definite signs of wear but sound quality is acceptable.

Fair (F)  Cover and vinyl is rough with little care having been taken for the LP.
