HOT TRACKS  - HOT CLASSICS #9  VINYL

The world's longest running Pro DJ Only Remix Service was established in 1982 by its original producer Steve Algozino, in San Francisco, California. Cameron Paul (later of Mixx-It fame) took over as producer in 1985 when Steve fell ill. After Steve succumbed to AIDS, the ownership of the company passed to his mother Anne Medice and brother Chris Cox. Michael Lewis took over producing the service in August 1986 with Gini Spiersch (Pacific Records, Rhythm Stick) acting as co-Director. Steve Bourasa (later of Rhythm Stick, Master Beat) acted as producer following Michael's death from AIDS in August 1988.  In 1989 Chris & Steve Cox took over the service and moved the service first to Las Vegas, and then to it's current home of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

There are several satellite services including Street Tracks, The Edge, Nrg for the 90's, Hot Classics and Roadkill. Featured remixers include: Steve Algozino, Michael Lewis, Stephen L. Freeman, Glenn Cattanach, Jim Thias, Ron Hester, Cameron Paul, Mark "Hot-Rod" Trollan, Bradley Hinkle, Lester Temple, Steve Bourasa, Mario S. David, John Moffett, Mark Andrus, Chris Cox, J.R. Clements, Robert Farrell, Zino, Cameron Paul and many more.  The service features double 12" 45 rpm  vinyl sets and CDs. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, George Horn of Fantasy Studios in Berkeley mastered the service.

As always, remixes found on these issues were original and seldom issued elsewhere.
