Ian was a regular on “Bandstand” in the early sixties. This is one of his few releases and unarguably his best. He’s backed by the Castle Rays and the Emitrons. The (a) side is a cover of Orbison’s “Up Town” complete with growling sax and the (b) side was written by Red Hewitt (of Red Hewitt and the Buccaneers). It’s a sorta talking blues/satire on the times of a “cool” rock d.j. In a company jacket.
